Role of guide rail:
Guide rail, also known as slide rail, linear guide rail and linear slide rail, is used in linear reciprocating motion. It has a higher rated load than linear bearing, and can bear a certain torque. It can achieve high-precision linear motion under high load. It is efficient and durable. The application of guide rail in our daily life is also very common, such as sliding chute of sliding door, rail of train, and so on. Also, the guide rail can be used on any machine or equipment that needs sliding. If it is used on the elevator guide rail, it is also sometimes used on the curtain.
Type of guide rail:
1. Nature of work
Main motion guide rail: the main motion of the moving guide rail seat, and the relative speed between the guide rail pairs is high.
Feed motion guide rail: the moving guide rail makes feed motion, and the relative motion speed between guide rail pairs is low.
Displacement guide rail: it is only used to adjust the relative position between parts, and there is no relative movement during processing, such as the guide rail for lathe tailstock.
2. Friction property
Sliding guide rail: The characteristic of sliding guide rail is that the friction between the working surfaces of the guide rail pair is sliding friction.
Sliding guide rail: mixed friction guide rail, boundary friction guide rail, hydrodynamic guide rail, hydrostatic guide rail.
Rolling friction: there is a rolling body between the working surfaces of the guide rail pair, which makes the rolling friction between the two guide rail surfaces.
Rolling guide rail: ball guide rail, roller guide rail, needle guide rail.
3. Stress condition
The open guide rail is a guide rail that keeps the two guide rail surfaces in contact with each other on the whole length, depending on the external load and the dead weight of components.
The closed guide rail uses the pressing plate as the auxiliary guide rail surface to ensure that the main rail surface fits.
4. Motion trajectory
Circular motion guide rail: the relative motion track of the guide rail pair is a circle, such as the flower plate and the base guide rail of the vertical lathe.
Linear motion guide rail: the relative motion track of the guide rail pair is a straight line. Such as slide plate and bed guide rail of ordinary lathe.
