1、 About prevention of muffler corrosion:
1. Prevent water from entering the muffler. When driving or washing the car in rainy days, water should be prevented from entering the muffler. When water enters, the engine shall be started to idle and warm up for at least 10 minutes to try to drain the water inside. This is critical!
2. It is recommended to apply anti-rust oil inside the muffler. The specific method of oil filling is as follows:
1) Remove the muffler and plug the drain hole at the lowest position in the middle of the muffler;
2) Add about 50ml of anti-rust oil from the flange connecting the muffler and the engine, shake the muffler to let the anti-rust oil evenly enter the cylinder, and then install the muffler; 3) After starting the engine, due to the gradual rise of the muffler temperature, the antirust oil volatilizes after being heated, and the muffler tail will emit blue smoke. But the blue smoke will disappear after 20 kilometers. After the blue smoke disappears, remove the blockage of the drain hole; 4) It is recommended that the new car should be refueled and maintained once after the license plate is registered. Usually, it should be refueled and maintained once every six months.
2、 On the problem of preventing muffler from discoloration:
1. When it is difficult to start a cold car in winter, close the choke to start the engine. Pay attention to open the choke in time after the car is warm. It is forbidden to drive at high speed for a long time when the choke is closed;
2. When there is oil stain on the surface of the muffler, the surface color will be discolored, yellow, blue, etc. after the car is hot. In addition, when there is a large amount of dirt on the muffler surface, please clean it in time to avoid affecting its heat dissipation;
3. Do not bang the accelerator at high speed for a long time;
4. The engine valve clearance, carburetor, air filter, etc. shall be adjusted and cleaned timely and correctly according to the instructions of the whole vehicle. If the valve clearance is out of order, the mixture is too rich or too lean, which will affect the combustion and cause the muffler to change color.
5. It is prohibited to install windshields or other decorative items in front of the engine and muffler on a riding bike, which will affect the heat dissipation of the engine and muffler;
6. When installing the muffler, pay attention to the installation of the muffler pad in place and tighten it to prevent air leakage, affecting the muffler effect and causing yellowing at the muffler interface;
7. Do not drive at low gear with heavy load for a long time, which will cause damage to the engine and muffler;
